That the ancestry of this Typewriter is traced back to erstwhile Czechoslovakia is a very unique aspect of this machine - it was manufactured in a country that does not even exist now! This makes the Diplomat a rarest of rare machines - a collector’s dream.

Additionally, it comes with its original invoice from ‘hunts (oxford) limited’ in the name of one Dr. A.D. Choudhuri of Woodstock Road, Oxford. (View the invoice in the accompanying photographs.) The invoice dated October 1964 is for a value of 16 Pounds. This kind of documentation is very rare in the Typewriter world today - supercharging the Diplomat’s value as a collectible.

Its 3-tone design, with the additional striking golden strip with the legendary Diplomat ‘Crown’ branding enhancing the face of the Typewriter, is far rarer than the common monotone, or the uncommon dual-tone designs of most other Typewriters. 

Moreover, the fact that the brand Diplomat is extremely rare to begin with, makes this machine an incredible find!

The Diplomat also features a 'line-ending-soon' bell that dings with subtle elegance, as you approach the margin, creating a truly memorable typing experience - as is evident in the accompanying video.

Plus the Diplomat comes with its robust original leather carry case. Additionally the leather case comes with a rare metal click-clasp old-school button mechanism. An original carry case is anyway a rarity in the Typewriter world!
